Doso-ST – Volumetric additive feeder

Volumetric feeder for additives designed to be mounted on a neck riser, between the processing machine feed hopper and the extruder throat.

EASY TO INSTALL

  • DOSO-ST has been designed so that it can be installed, by means of a lifting stub pipe, between the load hopper of the process machine and the extruder mouth.

 

FAST INGREDIENT CHANGE, FAST AND THOROUGH CLEANING

  • Practical and easy access to all the components.
  • Load hoppers with sight glass to visually check the level.
  • Manual gate valve which allows inspecting the metering screw without having to empty the hopper.
  • Unloading hatch for fast and easy emptying of the hopper.
  • Metering screws easily accessible without the use of tools for fast and thorough cleaning.

ADAPTIVE CONTROL (OPTIONAL)

Used to adjust the blender speed to that of the extruder. Utilizes an input signal proportional to the extruder screw speed.

 

FEEDER OPERATION

Feeder operation. On the basis of the preset speed, the metering screw feeds the additive into the flow of the main ingredient which flows from the load hopper of the process machine, thus dispersing the additive in the main flow.
